As a Business Development Executive, you will play an important role in supporting this growth by identifying new opportunities, developing long-term customer relationships, and contributing to revenue generation in your region.

The role goes beyond traditional sales and requires a consultative and proactive approach to understanding customer needs, developing tailored solutions, and creating value across a broad portfolio of protective packaging and security solutions.

Working closely with colleagues across the group, you will focus on building a strong pipeline, developing customer accounts, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience from first contact through onboarding and long-term partnership development.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining business development, relationship building, and solution selling in an international and fast-growing environment.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development & Pipeline Building

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities in defined target markets

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline through proactive outreach and lead generation

  • Identify strategic growth opportunities within target industries and customer segments

  • Support the progression of opportunities from initial contact through to conversion

  • Respond to inbound enquiries in a timely and professional manner

Solution Selling & Commercial Development

  • Represent the broader Ryleon portfolio and develop tailored solutions together with internal teams

  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across the group

  • Support the development of customer-specific solutions and proposals

  • Deliver product presentations and demonstrations

  • Develop long-term customer relationships and account development plans

Customer Relationship Management & Onboarding

  • Act as a key point of contact for customers in the region

  • Onboard new customers into CRM and establish effective communication channels

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships

  • Ensure a consistent and high-quality customer experience

  • Conduct regular follow-ups to understand customer needs and identify opportunities

  • Support customer retention through proactive engagement

Account Development & Customer Success

  • Identify opportunities to expand within existing customer accounts

  • Support the development of customer success plans to drive retention and growth

  • Monitor customer activity and engagement to identify risks and opportunities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM

Collaboration & Market Insight

  • Work closely with internal teams across sales, product, operations, and customer service

  • Coordinate internally to support successful delivery of customer solutions

  • Provide feedback on customer needs and market trends

  • Support marketing activities, campaigns, and events

  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows

  • Carry out customer visits when required

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing B2B roles

  • Commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and create customer value

  • Experience in consultative or solution-based sales is advantageous

  • Ability to build long-term relationships with stakeholders at different levels

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic and international environment

  • Experience using CRM systems is advantageous

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English; additional languages (e.g. French or Italian) are a plus

  • Experience from packaging, industrial products, or technical solutions is beneficial
